Children’s Museum of the Pee Dee Endowment (2014)
The Children’s Museum of the Pee Dee Endowment Fund was created in 2014 to continue the Children’s Museum of the Pee Dee’s efforts to establish a fun, safe and educational place for children to learn and grow. Children’s museums are vital cultural institutions serving as beacons in a frenzied modern world. They are places that celebrate play and creativity. They provide activities that nurture family relationships, establish common ground between all people and build creative communities that improve the quality of life.
The Children’s Museum of the Pee Dee’s desires for people to learn about and invest in the goal of developing a regional children’s museum in Downtown Florence. The fund will support the creation of activities and spaces that are consistent with their mission: to spark a love of learning in all children through the freedom of exploration and imaginative play.
Like Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, the Children’s Museum of the Pee Dee is a community-connecting place for good. The Children’s Museum desires to be part of the big picture of building bridges to draw the Pee Dee into purposeful connection.
