Florence Museum Blackwell Ervin Endowment (2013)
Anne and Dan Ervin used their donor advised fund at ECCF to establish an additional endowment fund to support the Florence County Museum. The fund will provide an annual grant to that charity while the corpus is preserved and invested for long term growth. This type of fund is a designated agency fund that provides perpetual support to the designated nonprofit agency or agencies. The donor specifies how funds are to be used and ECCF provides ongoing stewardship and oversight to ensure that the donor’s intentions are fulfilled.
Considered one of the Pee Dee’s premier museums, the Florence County Museum reflects the region’s rich artistic, cultural and historic heritage. Through a dynamic range of exhibitions, studios, lectures and family programming, the FCM provides visitors of all ages an engaging educational experience.
The mission of the Florence County Museum is to provide a dynamic sanctuary for the preservation, interpretation and exhibition of objects of scientific, historic, and artistic significance that are unique or of special interest to the people of Florence County and the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. Its vision is to stimulate imaginations and create experiences that transform lives by broadening people’s perspectives, attitudes, and knowledge of themselves and the world.
