Statement of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Eastern Carolina Community Foundation (ECCF) is a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace/organization where all employees and volunteers, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, education or ability feel valued and respected. ECCF is committed to serving our employees, volunteers, communities, and nonprofit partners by:
  • identifying, acknowledging, and dismantling inequities within our policies, programs, and practices
  • committing time and resources to expand more diverse leadership within our board, staff, and committees
  • improving our leadership pipeline by creating and supporting programs and policies that foster leadership which reflect the diversity of our society
  • utilizing our position as a grant maker to encourage nonprofits to work toward a more just, and equitable society
  • reviewing this statement regularly and evaluating practices and policies which support the statement and incorporate its philosophy into the work of the foundation
